My take on the early germanium Fuzz Face / MK1.5 circuits built in England circa 1965. This model borrows elements from both circuit variants for a more refined “clean up” and wider bias range. The circuit is responsive to different guitar and pickup combinations and provides a gradual and articulate clean-up when rolling back the guitar volume. An external bias control modifies the character of the fuzz for a gated / saxophone-like fuzz tone at the clockwise extreme, an articulate clean-up in the counter clockwise extreme, and a range of classic 60’s fuzz tones in the middle range of the knob.

Equipped with internal battery snap and standard 9V DC jack. This product uses vintage PNP transistors which require an isolated supply when using the DC jack.
