A faithful reproduction of the 1965 Dallas Arbiter Rangemaster Boost in a mini 1590A enclosure. This pedal features new old stock components and military-style point-to-point construction for a circuit that is as durable as it is serviceable. This version features a voice switch to select from three shades of treble boost. The circuit is true to the original in the “high” setting.

TRANSISTOR OPTIONS

All options are new old stock germanium transistors dating from the early 1960’s to the late 70’s.

  • 1974 Texas Instruments mil spec - an all around solid option with medium-high gain. Bright and articulate.

  • Texas Instruments CV series - mid 60’s UK made medium gain transistor. One of the warmest and most unique options on this list.

  • Mullard black glass OC45 - a close cousin of the Mullard OC44 transistor used in the original Dallas Arbiter units. Closest in sound and spec to the original Mullard OC44.

  • New Market NKT - early 60’s New Market transistor highly regarded for its balance of articulation and warmth.

Equipped with a standard 9V DC jack. This product uses vintage PNP transistors which require an isolated supply.
