A love letter to the early 70’s Interfax Harmonic Percolator - a unique and chaotic two transistor texture machine with a sound of its own.
The circuit features a hybrid si / ge transistor arrangement that clips asymmetrically and imparts the signal with a pleasantly complex bark. An added 3-position diode switch controls the overall the clipping character of the circuit, allowing the user to select from silicon, germanium, and diode bypass clipping options. This pedal utilizes eyelet board construction and a curated selection of mil spec germanium diodes, molded film caps, and OC series germanium transistors.
