Mini Zonk Machine

Mini Zonk: 100mm x 45mm x 35mm

A hand wired recreation of the late 60’s Hornby Skewes Zonk Machine in a miniature Gorva enclosure with top mounted jacks. The Zonk is a close cousin of the MKI with changes to the bias and EQ that give this circuit more upper mids and a splattier tone. This version features an added 2 position gain switch to select from a higher gain and original spec setting. The circuit features a hybrid of vintage Mullard and New Market NKT germanium transistors, new old stock TRW capacitors, and carbon composition resistors hand wired on a phenolic board. Power with internal battery or standard 9V DC center negative power jack
